We had distributed the restaurant discount coupons for cyclists from September 1st to October 31st. If you look for more than flowers, please try cycling around the town in the autumn next time!
Last year, we hosted our first cycling event for the participants from the age 2 to 70 years old. Nakafurano Tourism Association has now started accepting your entry applications. If you like to ride a bike and a spend slow and relaxing time in rural town, this IS your event. At the goal, we will have local specialty BBQ(lamb) and lottery to win a prize! To make yourself more enjoyable in the event, it is suggested that you have acquired some Japanese language skill.
A unique gift has arrived! The Entrance Ticket (Gotochi Nyujoken) will be on sale from tomorrow 8/4/2017 at the tourist information desk in JR Nakafurano Station. This ticket is designed for and sold only in Nakafurano. Why not take it with you as the memory of your trip? From 9/1 after information desk is closed, it will be sold at the office of Nakafurano Tourism Association.

[Travel tip] JR Nakafurano Station is unmanned station. To ride a train here, please take a piece of paper from the machine located at the front entrance of the train, and pay by coins at the destination.
Summer Festival will be held at the Furano La Terre on 8/12/2017. All ages are welcomed to enjoy events, concessions and other. For more detailed information, please follow the URL below.
To avoid the heavy traffic jam on R237, Hokkaido Development and Construction Department will engage the social project from July 15 (Sat) to 17 (Mon). The R237 in downtown Nakafurano will be divided into 3 lanes; in addition, There will be a temporary parking lot at the Furano Land Improvement District(土地改良区) so that tourists can use shuttle buses from their parking lot (address:〒071-0762 Hokkaido Prefecture, Sorachi District, Nakafurano, Okamachi, ７−１８) to Farm Tomita and Municipal Lavender Field. Town of Nakafurano and Nakafurano Tourism Association (NTA) will deliver the second town promotion event on the MOL ferries: Sunflower Sapporo on 6/1(Thu) departing 18:45 and the New Sunflower Furano on 6/3(Sat) departing 19:45.
We will have Bingo game to give big prizes and gift shop selling local products on these two days only. If you plan to come/leave Hokkaido at the time, this can be an option for the transportation (reasonable price, too).
