The government of Hokkaido announced that there are two confirmed cases of COVID-19 from Nakafurano residents (2 teenagers). Those patients are currently recovering from the symptoms after being hospitalized. The town of Nakafurano has established the infectious disease control HQ and been continuing to gather the right information and take counter measures against the current situation. Due to the lack of snow, we have found some spots on the ground without snow. We will temporarily close the ski slope until the slope is covered with enough snow and announce its re-opening information here. Sorry for your inconvenience.

Hokusei Ski Area is preparing to open its slope on Tuesday, January 28th. The night ski will be on Saturday, February 1st.

About the title, we operate Hokusei ski area as the lavender sight spot during the summer high season. Please read the following link (our official Instagram page) and understand that the sight spots in Hokkaido, where the nature is near to daily life, are maintained by locals very carefully. With or without snow, the agricultural fields suppose to be kept off. We need all members of locals and visitors alike cooperation to keep the sight clean and beautiful!
