As the symbol of Nakafurano Town, this hillside park blooms with colorful flowers in summer and becomes a playground for skiers and snowboarders in winter. In summertime, you can take the 7 minute single-chair lift ride to the top of Hokuseiyama. From the chair lift you feel as though you are floating above a flower carpet. From the top, you can marvel at the sight of the Tokachidake mountain range and the beautiful agricultural landscape of Furano Basin.  This hillside is also the venue of the Nakafurano Lavender Festival, the town’s biggest event in mid July.
