Purple carpet, green farmland and majestic Mt. Tokachi Range in your eyes

“Hokuseiyama” situated in the western hill of Nakafurano, this symbolic flower park displays 4 kinds of lavenders, sunflower, marigold, salvia and other annual plants from mid-June to the early September. At the peak climbing up by the single chair-lift, you will surely fall in love with the vast panorama of Mt. Tokachi Range, rural farmland of Furano Basin and purple carpet of lavender blossom.

Price

Discount 10~20% for lift-picking-sweet combo! Price numbers are all written in JPY（Tax included prices）.

※ Package price includes (1) chair-lift round ticket, (2) equipment fee (scissors, newspaper, mini plastic cup or plastic bag) and (3) sweet/drink.

※ Child price corresponds to primary and MS students, and adult price corresponds to HS students or above.

※ Containers of lavender picking may vary. Plastic bag will be provided to take-out lavender for basic charge and package customers.  For group customers, a plastic mini-cup is provided to cut and take-out.

※ For “sweet or drink,” you may choose either one of three options: melon, lavender flavored soft-served ice cream soft drink or beer (Sapporo Classic). Melon may be available only during the harvest season.

※ In order to purchase tickets or exchange voucher, please go to the chair-lift ticket booth located at the entrance of the lift management house (triangle-shape roof).

Itinerary

1. Purchase tickets at the ticket booth after arrival. If you hold a voucher, you may exchange it to tickets.
2. Ride on the lift to reach the hill top. Enjoy the panoramic views of mountain range and farmland.
3. Go to the lavender picking reception desk to get scissors, paper and souvenir bag/cup and try picking. Enjoy selfie and/or photo shooting.
4. Ride the lift back to the bottom with picked lavender.
5. Refresh with soft-served ice cream or soft drink!

 Cautions:

※Chair lift must be ridden by oneself. For safety reason, we do not accept to ride with heavy carry bag, holding child/pet. For your reference, under age participants in the past were age of 4 to 6; however, the guardian must confirm whether she/he can ride by her/himself. Also, please refrain from riding lift if you or family member have serious health problems such as severe walking difficulty, cardiovascular diseases or developing dementia or other conditions potentially causing insecure ride.

※ Recommended items to carry with you are: hat, towel, sneaker shoes (you may need to walk on slope ground)

※Sweet scent spreads around you when you pick up and rub lavender buds on your palm.

※This flower field is originally a ski slope. You can experience watching lavender fields while riding the chair-lift slowly. This may be found nowhere else but in Nakafurano.

※By hanging lavender upside down, you can enjoy richer scent of dried flower for a long time. Find your own ways to enjoy it, like wrapping dried buds in cloth to make sachet, potpurri, etc.

※Not only healing your heart, the lavender is known its prompt of skin generation, bactericidal reaction and insect repellent.

One of the best memories may be to carry Furano lavender back home while traveling Hokkaido. We would like to provide the plant protection regulations information so that you will have a problem-free access at the quarantine section.
